I bought an acoustic guitar and have begun playing on it. Almost all the notes play fine, except 2-3 particular notes produce this awful, metallic twang when I play them. I can’t figure out why these notes produce this twang. How can I fix this?

Most likely this is caused by an improper setup guitar, or a guitar with some damage at particilar spots on particular strings.
A guitar thats in an area of fluctuating humidity and cause the neck to bend and have the strings touch the frets and buzz badly. A guitar than and been dropped can nick the strings and cause a bad buzz.
One budget/student/cheap guitars this can be caused by frets not being dressed or leveled properly.
My advice would be to replace the strings first. If that doesn’t solve it, then take the guitar to a music shop and have it “setup” and adjusted.

are these minor notes
ya need to say which chords they are.
Some chords just sound funky and only work in certain ways.
Sometimes, on certain chords if you play certain strings, itll sound bad cause your not really supposed to play those certain strings.
Or Strings are bad/old
Or guitar is poor quality.
