Which Guitar should I buy? Epiphone les paul studio deluxe or Epiphone dot semi-hollow electric guitar?

I am buying a first guitar soon and am planning two, can be found. I play guitar for a few years but have never had an electric guitar. I have an old classic and that’s it. I’ve played other guitars and I can say that I have reasonable experience in electrical. It is appropriate for me to go? If you have other recommendations, please recommend them. Thanks! Remember, this is my first guitar, so I do not need a Gibson, and that a compliment Roland Cube 15W amp better? I play mainly rock, punk, alternative, but I’m into jazz and blues as auch.Denken because this is my first choice. Guitar, doing so does not need a Gibson, and I’m only 14 so can not exactly come with enough money in the foreseeable future would have turned einen.UndWelches a Roland 15X Cube amp better? I play mainly rock, punk, alternative, but I’m into jazz and blues as well.

    Neither.
    Save for the Gibson equivalent.
I know they’re expensive, but it’s well worth it.
For that matter, any number of the neck through PRS models would be great.
A cheap guitar simply will not sound good. It won’t have decent action and won’t stay in tune. It will just be discouraging.
The result of cheap wood, cheap electronics, cheap hardware and cheap labor.
A great instrument goes a long way in pushing you to be be a great musician.
Save for something a little better.
You can get a great deal on Ebay from time to time.

The Les Paul copy can do anything that the hollow-body can do but the hollow-body can’t do everything that the Les Paul can do. There is an inherent echo with hollow-body guitars that prevent them being really “hard”. It probably depends on what kind of music you plan on playing, but you can’t go wrong with the Les Paul.

Having said this, I have to tell you that Alvin Lee played a hollow-body at Woodstock (do a search on “Goin’ Home” Woodstock to see what it sounded like).

    Good luck.

Find a guitar with a right and good pickup; if you play heavy, go find humbucker pickups instead of single coil. You should ask yourself which one you comfort with. Go to the store, try to play it on your own both. Try plug it to amp, strum some chords, bend some notes and listen to their sound. Figure out the string action, its important if you are soloist. Strings are crucial, go find a guitar with very good machine head (tuner). Semi hollow is more light than epiphone les paul. Just find a guitar that suits your style, your genre of music. Dont worry, sometime we regret our decision after we bought it. I’ve did it- I bought a telecaster and regretted it but then i changed (customed) the pickup to humbucker. And consider your budget and the prices too.
i would say Epiphone les paul studio deluxe is better.

    Good Luck !

Wow, a lot of Epi haters in here… Go for the dot.
Everybody plays Les Pauls. Be original!
The hollow body doesn’t give any echo. I don’t know what that guy is talking about.
The neck-thru design gives better sustain.

I personally own an epiphone les paul and I’m not gonna lie to you, it sucks. I actually prefer my $90 Austin guitar over it.
