What kind of acoustic guitar does the band Alkaline Trio use?

In his songs on acoustic guitar sounds very metal. Who knows what kind of guitar sounds?

    It’s not so much which guitar in particular they are using but more the pre-amp settings that give’s the metallic sound you are looking for.
    Just by my own guess i would they use no distortion, level bass and a high treble setting, it gives you that that nice,crunchy metallic ring that sounds so good.

    It depends on what songs,

    On their earlier stuff (Godammit) it was just a cheap no-name one
    But now they use Gibson and send it through an effects pedal
