What is a good guitar for punk?

I am buying a new electric guitar I play the planning and punk music. What is a guitar that has a beautiful sound and a nice sense of punk-rock? I am in favor of a guitar which is in the range of $ 300 or less.

dont listen to the other guy a flying v is a nice guitar but does not play punk and is at least $800

if you want a good punk guitar try getting an epiphone les paul jr. they are super cheap; only $100 and they sound great. the les paul jr. has a great crunch. and you can use the other $200 to buy other equipment

this is the petrfect punk guitar under $300

    Hey Henry

Forget the Flying V and go for an Epiphone les Paul… This is what resembles the most , the sound you are looking for. It is fat and super clean .
The price is right and the fingerboard and playability is very good. Plus, you have a good resale value if you ever need to upgrade to a better one.
Also, with the money you will save, you an even buy a distortion pedal. Their…..that should keep you going for a while.

You’re going to hate my answer, but the truly punk thing to do is to find the cheapest guitar possible, mend any cracks with duct tape, never take more than ten seconds to tune, turn the amp (preferably something you found in a Dumpster) all the way up, and start playing as loud and fast as possible while screaming anarchist slogans, the more feedback and distortion the better. No 1980 punk would have bought his guitar in a shop or be concerned with “a nice sound.” And he wouldn’t have gone to someone to get a piercing; he would have just stuck a safety pin through his cheek. But I guess we live in a different era now. Sigh.
