I am trying to purchase a new electric guitar, I am looking at one at the moment and in the description it says “set in neck” What does that mean!? Thanks, Ryan.

It means the neck is glued to the body – not bolted on. The adavntage is it is more solid and has more sustain, the drawback is that the neck angle and other adjustments (if ever needed) are much harder and expensive to do. Fenders have bolt on necks – most Gibsons (like Les Pauls) have set necks.

Well it depends really what kind of learner you are i don’t own it but I tried a friends who has it and really for me I play by touch and occasionally by reading and i have to say if your a watch and do kind of person it should work fine for you otherwise you might just consider lesson’s from some one who really knows what their doing I mean it’s a good system but I can’t say it’s for everyone and I’m being honest here because I’m a big Gibson fan/admirer but that’s all i have to say though you might consider looking online for those kind of stores that let you try the product a bit before you buy it but yeah really depends on your learning style hope this help
