Question by Nevermind7694: does anyone have the diagram of the circuits fromt tha amplifier “Johnson Model standart 15″?
I’m building a pedal effect for my guitar.. Ii built a simple overdrive, but it doesn’t sound to good, but ! when I use it along with the distortion from the Amplifier it gives a beautiful metal sound.. and well want that on a pedal… so I thought “ok I’ll open the amplifier and I’ll copy the circuit”. Right now the amplifier is next to me, but it’s not that easy to copy the circuit so if any of you have the diagram of this circuit I would appreciate it a lot, Johnson Standard 15.
By way the in the amplifier I found this IC 45580 jrc 5011A and I’ve been trying to find it’s data sheet but II found nothing, so if any of you know where to find it that would be great, thanks

Chances are the data sheet you’re looking for is for a common 4558 dual op amp. JRC is not the only company that produces them. The D in 4558D designates the package type, in this case an 8 pin DIP. I’ve posted a link to it below.

if you’re right handed, and you know for sure that you play guitar right handed, then do not force yourself to play left handed. there are no advantages to it. sorry, you’re going to have to find another guitar, or flip the nut, the strings, and alter the intonation and truss rod on the lefty gibson to play righty.

my amplifier is old and icky and it doesn’t have any other sounds other than the normal acoustic-like sound. I have an input that I can connect from my guitar onto my computer. Is there a program on the internet or something that I can just plug my guitar into my PC and use my PC as an amp? Like I open some program, and It allows me to change the sound of how my guitar plays on an AMP?

There are a few different things you can do. First I believe you will need a: 1/4″-to-1/8″ Stereo Headphone Jack Adapter. This will allow you to plug into your computer. Afterwards go to your sounds and make sure you have the line in turned on (could be labeled as microphone since you are technically plugging into the MIC jack). You should now be able to hear your guitar through your speakers with a clean tone.

Next you’ll need to find an amp. Now, as an IT dude I’ll tell you that though these are free programs, I have never installed or used these. Therefore, I have no idea if they are virus laden. Look up: http://guitarfx.info/index_1.html
