pillow microphone mp3 speaker wont work?

I have this pillow is that is as big as a microphone that is looking for an MP3 speaker. Dave and Busters I the other day. It is a rechargeable battery pack for four AA batteries and a cable in the headphone jack to connect my iPod. I have a brand new batteries and check them right and everything, and filpped the switch and try to play music and nothing happens? “I can fix this? What’s wrong?

I think it depends on what mp3 player you have.
I have one of those and when I had a regular mp3 player, it didnt work.
But then I got an iPod and it worked perfectly..
