How to fix a first edition guitar hero 3, xbox 360 controler?

I have one of the first edition x box 360 Guitar Hero controller, the black Les Paul. The problem is that the first edition contorlers contact in the dishes tend to lose as the red and blue ink are not working all the time. Is there a simple solution to this does not require a new driver.

I’ll be honest, I’d love to hear a good way. I have the same trouble with mine.
I have a large rubber band that i use to tighten the hold from the neck to the base of the guitar. But, even that doesn’t work for long. Typically, I get mad. I take my guitar to the bathroom and wash the frets. With water. Yes, stupid, I know. But it has worked the best for me.
If your having trouble with the guitar go to the store you bought it from, ask if they will exchange it if you have a waranty. If not send it to the company who made they should have no promblem fixing it for you.
