How much do guitar lessons run for nowadays? For a beginner?

Shawn here, Blink-182 fan since the 20th Century. I wanted to know how much guitar lessons cost? I am a beginner and im just looking for some middle of the road lessons that could get me going to becoming a good guitar player. I do play the electric, and would like to play mainly alternative, pop punk, and punk rock.
What good lessons are there? Should i get them online? how much do they cost?

They cost about $20 an hour here on the West Coast.
I really suggest looking at Guitar Tabs and then looking on youtube for covers made my other guitarists. It’s your best bet and it’s boatloads cheaper.
i take in person lessons for 30 dollars a lesson. and i feel it’s well worth it. i did teach myself a lot, and i had a good head start, but there is so much more an experienced guitarist can teach me then a website can tell me.
i used http://www.wholenote.com for initial lessons and stuff.
but i’m SO happy i decided to take lessons in the end! not only are they making me a great guitar player, but i have a lot of fun in them!
at my school its only $140.00 a year but im in new zealand
mine are $25 in the bay area
I’m on the East Coast, and when I got them they were around $15 for a lesson, I believe lessons were an hour long. I’d say just go for general “rock” guitar lessons with some music theory combined. Music theory always helps to write your own stuff if you have an advanced understanding.
Personally I don’t think I’d pay for online lessons, but definitely check out some tabs online and youtube videos. That’s how I learned most of my stuff.
if you wanna play some good sounding punk….the key is to not take lessons. Once you take lessons your punk turned into emo.
