go to Ultimate-guitar.com and get enter sandman and for whom the bell tolls to start out with. Thats what i did
and justice for all is easy, and so is one. but most other metallica songs are pretty challenging.
A lot of James’ rhythm parts are pretty easy. Try learning that if you want to learn any of there old stuff. Their stuff after and including the black album is also relatively simple.
Death Magnetic is about on par with their older stuff in terms of difficulty, but not too hard.

Try Fade to the Black, relatively easy except the intro solo…. My first metallica song was One, best song it primarily requires you to use 1 string per note in the beginning.
