  1. I have had problems with 3 different DigiTech XDD DIGIDELAY Pedals. The 1st one had power problems, would not operate with the AD adapter plugged in, the 2nd one worked for a while then started skipping or cutting off during the delay process, the 3rd and final one would not let me change the delay rate without the pedal going nuts. I sent all three back, got a refund and bought a BOSS DD-6, no problems to date and it’s been over a year now. I think DigiTech makes fairly good equipment, but I have had trouble with other guitar effects pedals they make too. When the DigiTech RP-6 Multi-effects pedal came out I was really impressed with the sound quality, and I still am, but I had so many problems with the volume pedal not working (had it fixed 4 times), then the selector pads that select the program quit working (I fixed them myself), then the AC Adapter plug-in quit working. I still own the RP-6 just because I like the programs in it, but it took forever to get all the bugs out of it. One of the last pedals I purchased from DigiTech was the newer RP-300 Multi-effects processor. Man, what a piece of junk that is. Just one more for the junk closet. Do not buy one of the RP-300′s, 200′s. The only pedal I have had good luck with from DigiTech is their new XDD Digital Reverb, dubbed the DIGIVERB. It’s very smooth, quiet, has good frequency response and all the controls operate as they should. This is really a very nice pedal. The reverb sounds real on just about any setting you select. The spring reverb on it is really quite impressive, with a nice little after-ring to it like the old spring reverb tanks. There is a setting for a real echo-effect too which is quite nice, and of course all the selections are tweakable to suit your own taste. Don’t buy a Boss RV-5 Digital Reverb, they are noisy and do not sound as good as the DigiTech. The best thing to do is scrap all of the above effects and get yourself a Lexicon MPX-110 24-bit Digital Reverb-Delay rackmount unit. They are without a doubt the best sounding digital reverb I have ever heard.

This delay can do pretty much *anything* you might need delay for, including reverse playback (etc). I highly recommend this pedal for the versatility and value. digitech rocks!

This pedal does exactly what it says it does. The delay works and can generate good clean delay and with the right settings can be used for some reverb. I did need to read the instructions a few times before I could get the loop function working.

I love a good delay pedal and I thought it was great. I’ve had no issues, had it a month or so. I use it daily, it sounds great and I use it in the effects loop of a 20th Anniversary 20 watt Hughes & Kettner Tube amp. Works flawlessly for me. I like the different settings/styles of Delay’s that it offers. they sound great and this thing delays enough to play harmony rythyms over the top of yourself, etc. Can’t complain one bit!

Use it mainly to add a little love to the solos and rythym work. It’s the only effect I use, other than the amps reverb, which I am VERY sparing with.
