In the second year of high school with a price range of $ 200-250 and have a decent amp to play with your friends to play and maybe looking for a show or two. I play guitar and sing so I want an amplifier with maximum impact.

i agree with the answer above but you may want to go to 30 watts instead of 15 because one of my 15 watt amps can not even be heard when i am practicing with my friends on drums and bass guitar.
i just went onto http://www.gak.co.uk and had a look and there is a `Line6 Spider IV` 30 watt at £159 with cheap delivery!
Another vote for the Line 6 but I’d go with the 30 watt. The Spider III is going for about $124.95 now that the Spider IV is out at $199.99. The IV has twice the models and a few other features, the III is plenty awesome though. Most amazing amp around for the money.
