Build my own speaker system for MP3 player?

Is it possible for me, a speaker system in my house, I want my MP3 player at the plug? I know that would be an amplifier, speakers need, of course, and perhaps, one thing is Subwoofer.Das I do not know how to connect the player to the amplifier.

   Very easy you get a cord that has the end like on you head phones and it splits to 2 plug that go in to your amp they sell them at most electronics stores there a standard cable
