In contrast to all other music books I’ve ever seen. Instead of just displaying various techniques and licks the notification is deeply Daniels (very deep) in the theory behind the Blues, the construction of chords, big, blue and relative scale, etc. In fact, given a thorough background in the theory of music in general. (Although it is strictly for TAB, standard notation is not here.)

The information is presented in the form of a story and about Old Man (known as “Old Man”) teaches a young boy (named, you guessed her, “Boy”), as he swing his ax. It sounds a bit corny, but it’s fun and it works. I think that’s what I like about this book. The information that sticks in your brain and your fingertips.

This book is invaluable! I had piano lessons and guitar lessons as a child, but never “I have it.” I have read this book, and now I am “I have it.” For the first time, I know where they came from chords, and I know that the fundamentals of the notes of the selected songs on the radio.

These books focused on the blues, but the theoretical part, in principle, apply to other types of music. As for the blues – this book is a one stop shop! In addition to the theory, scales, chords, songs and produced, all grades of E and A in the whole pitch is presented. More of what the chords are there. Drill in E and A are there. Many of 12 bar and 8 bar blues pattern in there. Fifty bit lame in that country. And the history of blues music is in it.

    Invaluable.

Well, I liked all the narrative aspect of the book that I have a lot. I thought in the way of guitar lessons, and while there are some interesting facts and acculturation that reading this has occurred, it would be better, hear and read a couple of old boards few or, perhaps, something that goes to background on the /> music.
current teaching where the book was in any way suffered, especially in Innan notation system they devised. points of different sizes represent the values of time was more or less the most confusing and stupid thing I’ve ever experienced. . . , If they had at least more evenly spaced, so you could say, what were the values. />
There was some information about the OK overlapping heavily on the minor pentatonic scale, all the nuances of receiving, for example, then, was the star, the other in the sickle, etc. can . . . What the hell? It is as if they had been so difficult, the teaching of standard music theory, in principle, because they do not really anything Western theory may be a good level of agreement, except for classical music separately, but it’s just inventing all these stupid conditions and possibilities of education, which are completely arbitrary, instead of using the work with the materials, the blues all over the place in millions of other blue books.

you can do is a good number of blue books.

  4. There is one, which is a, you know, one! Damn! It’s a book! A very nice book. I bought the guitar blues, what to study. I was of some help, looking to improve my game blues. But in the first three pages, I was in this story that has stuck in the book. Imagine, a story in a book of blues guitar. Well, when I read the book (which lasted three days), I found myself avoiding the scope of my guitar to practice what I read. I did not want the story that I was excited to break. So after reading the book (novel) I went back and read the book from school – it worked! Everything I read now is stamped on the side of my head and I played much better than I thought possible blues. If you play the guitar, or want to play guitar, get this book on loan (or, if possible) – is an experience.

How to play “hot” licks and runs, what do you know about the notes of the blues scale and the other “, added notes” around the blues scale. This book teaches the reality of zeros on the notes added in a clear, and how important they are. wanted I am not a teacher, but when I start with someone to tell them to get help Blues Guitar Inside and out, and The Heavy Guitar Bible, also by Richard Daniels. The latter has been training well it works, move your fingers and develop skills and more.
